Season 1 Episode 18: Hiu Kwan Schemes to Save Hoi Wan's Mother

Wong Suet Ying (Kelly Cheung) accidentally learns of the affair between her husband Hiu Kwan (Ron Ng) and Hoi Wan (Samantha Ko). Shattered by the truth, yet still fiercely protective of Hiu Kwan, she quietly makes a major decision. Lai Ming recalls the evidence of Hiu Yin's crimes that Chi Sum hid before his death; at a clinic she meets Pui Wa, unaware that Pui Wa once worked as Hiu Yin's informant. Hiu Kwan secretly teams up with his sister Sze Nga to draw out Hiu Yin's right-hand man Ma Man Cheuk, and forces him to reveal where Hoi Wan's mother is being held. Hiu Kwan rescues her, reuniting mother and daughter—but just as Hoi Wan plans to flee with her mother, crisis strikes again. Suet Ying is suddenly kidnapped and brutally abused; to save his wife, Hiu Kwan is forced to drop out of the LKS board race.
