Mystery surrounds Amos's absence from the pub. He has told Dolly that he will be back later but not when and where he is going. He can't keep his destination secret for long though when he is seen by Mr Gunnarson with the driving instructor Mrs Morphet. Mrs Morphet says that he can't start driving until until he has had his eyes tested and just when things couldn't get any worse his bike is stolen.
